On the Road [05/06] (M team)

Victoriaville/Québec, 4th may protests against fees and more

[ENG]
“Buses unloaded students, unions and citizens from across Quebec to come forward and protest against the Liberal government that held its General Council this weekend in Victoriaville. The simple act of having put barriers on the ground separating the protesters from Congress, was enough to justify police violence against the people.

A rain of gas and violence fell on the demonstrators: more than 250 cans of CS gas, drawn from close range for some, many rubber bullets and hundreds of arrests. The police chief welcomed the excellent work of law enforcement …

ONE STUDENT LOST AN EYE AND ANOTHER IS BETWEEN LIFE AND DEATH, many have suffered head injuries.

The SQ has hampered the work of paramedics who tried to rescue one of the injured students. Buses on the way home were also arrested, the police is now attacking the freedom to manifest and move in Québec.

The will of a man continues to crush democracy.”

‘yes, the government of the city of Frankfurt plans to    ban BLOCKUPY:

See http://www.spiegel.de/wirtschaft/soziales/frankfurt-will-anti-banken-proteste-verbieten-a-831428.html

But before you even think about cancelling your travel    plans, please note that this decision is still being heavily    disputed.

Previous attempts by authorities in Germany to prohibit these kinds of protests have never held (completely) in court.

Preparations for the protests are proceeding in full gear. Here are some of the newest mobilisation clips: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VD3aFzy4-78http://vimeo.com/41582909 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzUZUf0g5Mghttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=le6hp3mggmY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rzWrAX2ogr8http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SUVzTTE2M68

Sign a petition to demand withdrawal of the ban here: http://www.blockupy-frankfurt.org/de/protestnote Please sign – and please distribute this request to friends and comrades all over the world!

All legal means will be pursed in order to waive the ban, and under    the constitution’s right of assembly chances are quite good to be    successful. And even if not, our comrade Christoph Kleine from    Interventionistische Linke (IL) publicly stated that ten thousands    of people would be coming anyway, so a ban wouldn’t be enforceable    at all.

At the moment, the rightists’ attempts to criminalize the BLOCKUPY    days actually act as a major mobilization campaign – so public    attention and support keep rising… :)

Here’s a short news article on this in English:       http://news.ph.msn.com/business/frankfurt-bans-planned-anti-capitalist-protests-1

On the Road 04/05 (M Team)

Mi llegada a Atenas no tuvo secreto.
