After the big protest last Saturday, many cities around the country decided they don’t want the camp sites any longer. Many camp sites received eviction orders. Activists have been gathering in each site where there is threat of eviction. Yesterday the city of Tel Aviv sent cleaning squats to take down tents and equipment at various camp sites. A spontaneous protest against forced evictions erupted in front of city hall. The protesters blocked the road. The police then got violent and arrested about a dozen people, all are still under custody. The eviction notices are now under discussion at the Tel Aviv courts, unclear whether the court will authorize them or not.
