In February, tens of thousands of people from countries around the world took to the streets to protest the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA). The world’s leaders took notice, and support for ACTA began to fade. Countries refused to ratify it, government officials spoke out against it, and eventually many members and parties of the European Parliament said they would vote “No” on ACTA.
Now, with an EU vote expected to come in July, digital activists on June 9 are again organizing an international day of action. This is the final push to defeat ACTA once and for all. We’ve come to far to give up now — find a protest near you below and join us in the streets on June 9!
